1. Who we are
AstroTara, Bailey Road, LBS Nagar, near J.D. Women's College, Patna, Bihar, India. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with.
2. What we collect
- The details you enter to get a report: name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, time of birth (or that you do not know it) and, optionally, a short note about what you would like to know.
- Your mobile number, entered at checkout. Payment cards, UPI and bank details are handled by Cashfree and never reach us.
- Order records: the report bought, the amount, the date and whether it was paid.
- A random private key stored in your browser so you can reopen your report. We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it.
- The chart worked out from your birth details (planet positions, Dasha and so on), kept with your report.
- How you use the site: which screens you open, taps and scrolling, how long each step takes, errors, which ad brought you, the kind of phone and app you use (for example the Instagram browser), and town names typed into the birth-place search that we could not find. This is linked to a random visitor ID kept in your browser, not to your name or phone number.
3. How we use it
To work out your chart and write your report, take payment, unlock your report, help you if something goes wrong, keep the service safe, find out where the site is confusing so we can improve it, and measure whether our ads work. We do not sell your data.
4. Who we share it with
- Google (Gemini AI): your name, gender, birth date, time and place, and the chart worked out from them, are sent to Google's Gemini API to write your report. Google handles this under its own API terms.
- Cashfree Payments: your mobile number and the order amount, to process the payment.
- Supabase and Vercel: database and website hosting.
- Birth-place search runs on our own server from a built-in list of places, so the place name you type is not sent to any other company.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): if we run ads, the Meta Pixel in your browser tells Meta about page visits, that a report was viewed, and that a purchase happened (with the amount). We do not send your name, birth details or reports to Meta.
- Microsoft Clarity: if active, it records how the site is used (taps, scrolling, page views and screen recordings) so we can see where people get stuck. Your name, birth details, phone number and report are hidden in these recordings. Microsoft handles this data under its own privacy statement.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your report until you ask us to delete it. We keep payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep usage records to improve the site; you can ask us to delete them.
6. Your rights and deleting your data
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Email ayushshrivastavayt@gmail.com with the mobile number you paid with (or the report you want removed) and we will act within 7 days. Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, gives you rights over your personal data. For a complaint, email us with the subject "Privacy grievance".
7. Cookies and storage
We use your browser's local storage for the private key above, your language choice, the form you last filled in, and the list of reports you bought on this device (name, Moon sign, date and private key), so you can reopen them. Clearing your browser data removes this list. We also keep a random visitor ID there, used only to count how visitors move through the site. If the Meta Pixel is active it sets Meta cookies (_fbp and _fbc), and if Microsoft Clarity is active it sets Clarity cookies (_clck and _clsk). You can clear these in your browser settings.
8. Children
The service is for adults. A parent or guardian may enter a child's details to get a report for the child.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above.
